Life is filled with peaks and valleys; sometimes we reach a point in life when we need to make a change. When we need more than the comfort from family or friends. When life presents challenges or opportunities we may need a fresh perspective and a nudge in the right direction to get where we want to go.

I help highly-sensitive women heal trauma, navigate inner conflict, and find a deeper sense of connection with themselves and others in order to live more fulfilling lives. Using a somatically integrative approach to therapy, I guide clients towards self-compassion and out of shame cycles and old disempowering narratives. In sessions, I invite clients into experimental practices where we draw our attention to your embodied experience and explore your thoughts, images, movements, emotions and sensations as they arise. Always core to my work is: empathy, consent, attunement, presence, and curiosity.

Life's complexities often bring upon battles that aren't easily won on our own. We may experience depression, anxiety, loneliness, and ultimately feel overwhelmed when we're unsure how to manage the situation. Gaining coping skills, engaging in self-care, developing a support system, or even having a safe space to release the pressure on our shoulders can make a difference. All you can ask of yourself is to take one step at a time at the pace that works best for you. Let us work together to find that pace and to gain those supports along the way.

I have always worked to make sure that the people closest to me felt like they had a safe space to unload, gather strength and get back in the fight of life. I am serious about helping people, but I'm also the kind of person who works hard to make sure that I use the tools that I'm trying to help other people get, so our sessions are always shared and learning. I believe that nobody knows you better than you, you just need help getting to know yourself. This thinking has led me to be in connection with any and every type of person...and I love it...and Celine Dion, and Kira Daffin (she's a gospel artist)

People become discouraged and function ineffectively due to mistaken beliefs and faulty values. Counseling helps people who have problems or concerns they are not resolving to their satisfaction on their own. When Russell Crowe was asked, in reference to his mental health, “Do you still see little people? Do you still hear voices? He responded, “I believe all of us do. I just choose not to acknowledge it.” He realized something was going on with him mentally, and he was honest about it. As your counselor, I can assist you in looking for major mistakes in thinking and valuing, like mistrust and lack of confidence.

Many therapists focus on a cookie-cutter approach or one-size-fits-all solution for clients. I believe that to be an effective therapist, it takes more than that. Everyone has a unique path in life and, thus, deserves a unique therapeutic experience. By using an eclectic array of evidence-based therapeutic modalities, I hope to join you on your journey to becoming the person you want to be. Whether it is working through trauma, depression, anxiety, or anything else you might be experiencing, I strive to create a safe environment to bring your unfiltered self.

Choose the therapist, not the therapy. Quality mental health care is a real, human exchange; an opportunity to explore, strengthen, and change aspects of who you are. When psychotherapy is effective, the therapist and patient are creating openings, not closures. This is what heals.

If you have found that beginning therapy can be daunting and intimidating you are not alone. It takes courage to seek therapy. In my work, I view the therapeutic relationship as one of the most powerful tools throughout the therapy process. I use an integrative approach grounded in a client-centered and mindfulness framework to meet the unique needs of each individual. I work to respectfully collaborate, empower, and assist in gaining a deeper understanding of each individual, while also helping to identify solutions towards a more satisfying and fulfilling life.

Some people will never understand what it is like to be raised by parents who don’t see you. The pain you feel when they put everything and everyone before you. How small and invisible it made you feel when they ignore the love you have for them and choose “it” instead. The “it” could have been drugs, partners, friends, siblings, work, etc…no matter what you did they never seemed to choose you. You may have even had to take care of your parents and become a 2nd parent to your siblings. You found yourself making excuses about why they were not present, why they forgot, and then you learned to numb the pain.

Relationships are the foundation of our lives. Relationships can be ever changing, The change in a relationship can be expected or unexpected. Marital, pre-marital, family, work, friendships, parenting all have a impact on your life. You may have become stuck in a relationship where you feel you can’t grow, or a relationship you would like to salvage, or you just want out. Your relationship does not have to involve a person, you can have a relationship with gambling, alcohol abuse, diabetes distress, or stress. You want to challenge whatever relationship you have that impacts your life outside of your vision for your life.

Overall, I consider myself a "worldly nurturer". "Worldly", because I have worked with people from all backgrounds, cultures, ages, and walks of life to "nurture" their potential. All of my experiences have taught me the foundational skills that I use in my profession today, which are: patience, the ability to listen, the understanding that listening is as paramount as speaking, the capabilities to be resourceful, valuing modesty and humility whilst still being confident and capable, and having faith in my skill-set while still being open to professionally growing and developing.

I would offer my ideal client tools in which to affirm their own greatness. I often meet with people who have had issues from their past and anxious about their future.......One of my specialties is to help an individual to become grounded (centered) into the present moment. I understand that the client wants the pain, anxiety and frustration to end right now....However, I can show a client how to take the energy of a situation and use it to be transformed by the renewing of their thoughts of their mind
