Every day is another opportunity to cultivate happiness, joy, and meaningful life.
We are always constantly striving for a sense of happiness, purpose, and fulfillment. Often we are led to believe that to achieve those we must look outside of ourselves. The reality is we all have the power and ability to cultivate these feelings from within. We all have the ability to think differently, react differently, and respond to the outside world in a way that can create a sense of peace for us on the inside. Many of us struggle with difficult emotions and we need extra support to find ways to cope with the everyday challenges of life. With the right tools and a little courage, you can make life work for you.

Peace. I know how important it is to create a safe space for you to talk about your struggles. Whether the discussion is about your sexuality, especially if you are part of the LGBTQ+ community, your mood, your past including traumatic experiences and upcoming life transitions, therapy and the process of collaborative learning about you is my goal. My work experiences in hospital settings, college counseling settings, community mental health and private practice in both Saudi Arabia and the U.S. have taught me to integrate what I have learned about education, advocacy, and treatment into my therapeutic approach.

Congratulations on taking the first step to reconnect with yourself and the pleasures you expect and deserve from your life. My therapeutic approach will assist you in reclaiming your joy, love, and affection for yourself and the world around you. I spent 16 years in the armed forces, where I worked to motivate, encourage, and train troops. Since then I have worked with couples to bring clear communication, youths, and families for reunification after hardships such as divorce, grief, and delinquent behavior. I excel in intrapersonal skills, empathetic approaches, and mindfulness, putting you first.

I have been practicing for over 9 years with individuals who have PTSD, Anxiety, Depression, marital issues, divorce, self-identity crisis issues, Grief/loss, LGBTQ ,life transitions, Court ordered therapy, career counseling, and most of all LIFE.
It takes courage to make the decision to search for a therapist. As an empath being a therapist has always been my calling. Having a connection with your therapist is crutial to the therapeutic process. Hearing your story is important to me. Is past trauma still haunting you now? Therapy can help you process traumatic events and heal. Is anxiety crippling you from living? I can help you figure out you're triggers and how to cope. Is depression making it difficult for you to get out of bed? I can help you uncover the root cause of your depression and help you find your purpose in life.

By using Solution- Focused Therapy, Person – Centered Therapy, and Cognitive Behavior Therapy, (depending on the clients’ needs), my goal is to help you realize your full potential and live a life that is worth celebrating. Unfortunately, no one can change the difficult experiences of the past, however, we can work together to build a strong and healthy future. By applying complementary therapy approaches and techniques, we will unearth long-standing behavior patterns or negative perceptions that may be holding you back from experiencing a more fulfilling and meaningful life.

I use cognitive behavioral therapy, client-centered, problem solving and motivational techniques. Any time is a good time to begin therapy, but I am also a firm believer that life transitions cause each of us to reflect more - losses, major changes, new relationships, break-ups or divorce, new children.
“Love takes off masks that we fear we cannot live without and know we cannot live within,” James Baldwin once said. Do you want more connection in your life, to have a community of loved ones, however large or small? You are not alone. Each of us desires connection, and yet trauma and broken relationships between loved ones often get in the way - this brokenness can affect our closest relationships, and families suffer. Or, sometimes you may feel like you don’t really know or love yourself as well as you think you should. These questions, desires, and fears are part of the human experience, and part of my own life experience.

Life Coaching Therapists

What can I expect from life coaching?

Clients and coaches will typically start by identifying the problem area(s) that the client hopes to address—then, the coach will help the client brainstorm potential solutions and explore concrete techniques to help the client attain their goals. Coaching is typically short-term and focused on finding solutions in the here and now, rather than exploring a client’s past. In addition to strategies aimed at the client’s specific concerns, coaches may encourage general stress management techniques such as meditation.

Can a life coach help treat anxiety?

Because the majority of life coaches are not licensed clinicians, they are not qualified to diagnose or treat anxiety. Anyone struggling with anxiety or another mental health condition should seek help from a licensed mental health practitioner. However, some coaching clients who struggle with subclinical anxiety report that working with their coach on other problems—such as career dissatisfaction or unhealthy habits—has a positive effect on their anxiety.

Can life coaching be done online?

Yes. While life coaching often happens in person, many coaches conduct sessions over the phone or via online platforms such as Zoom or Skype. Because life coaches are not subject to local licensing regulations in the same way that therapists are, they are able to see clients who live in other locations.

How long does life coaching last?

Life coaching tends to be a shorter-term process than therapy, though it does not always unfold over a specific period of time and is instead based on the coach’s or the client’s preferences. Coaching often takes place over three to 12 months but may be shorter or longer if necessary.
