My approach to therapy is based on the idea that each person has gifts, passions and skills that can be tapped into to guide them toward an authentic, value-based life. My goal is to partner with you to provide a safe, non-judgmental space that allows for reflection, healing from past emotional wounds, and growth by establishing new coping skills to replace old patterns of thinking and behaving. I have extensive training in trauma and EMDR through the International Association (EMDRIA) as well as Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).

Assisting individuals in overcoming childhood trauma, PTSD, anxiety, and depression is deeply fulfilling and rewarding. I have over 35 years of experience working with children, adults, couples and families on a wide variety of life problems. My approach is supportive, confidential and empathetic in helping individuals and families recognize their own needs and strengths. Treatment is unique for each client and is determined by their own goals and needs. I am especially passionate with helping parents who are raising children with special needs. I am a certified personal trainer and a life coach, and believe in integrating mind, body and spirit into my practice. I have been a therapist since 2003 and if there’s one thing I’ve learned over the years, it’s that everyone needs someone to talk to. We all have feelings, whether we feel happy, excited, anxious, worried, nervous, sad or depressed—we need to get those feelings off our chest. Another thing I’ve learned over the years is keeping those feelings bottled up inside can and will make us sick. Why is something as simple as getting things off our chest so difficult to do? I believe it’s because of our pride and fear of judgment about our feelings. As a therapist, I truly strive to allow people to speak freely in a safe environment.

I believe no one should have to endure these obstacles alone and experience feelings of anxiety and stress.
