When it comes to everyday life, we all can agree that it can be a never ending climb to our desirable selves. It is within these times when life becomes uncertain; thus influencing our decisions in a negative way. As a mental health therapist, I get the privilege to extend a helping hand to those who are tired of being tired. Individuals who want a change, but are unsure how or where to start. With this in mind, I desire to connect with these individuals, in order to take back control of their lives - one day at a time.

My approach to therapy is based on the idea that each person has gifts, passions and skills that can be tapped into to guide them toward an authentic, value-based life. My goal is to partner with you to provide a safe, non-judgmental space that allows for reflection, healing from past emotional wounds, and growth by establishing new coping skills to replace old patterns of thinking and behaving. I have extensive training in trauma and EMDR through the International Association (EMDRIA) as well as Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).

The foundation of counseling should be a healthy therapeutic relationship between counselor and client. I help individuals learn about themselves and get more of an understanding of why they feel what they feel. Working with an individual to establish what and why when solving a particular problem should be a collaborative effort. I empower the individual by helping them realize that they do have the tools to be able to handle what life throws at them. We may not be able to control the world around us but we are in control of our own decisions and how we react.

Under the clinical direction of Franklin Sollars, PhD, LP, we offer confidential and caring treatment for a variety of concerns. We offer treatment to clients of all ages, including children, adolescents, adults and elders. Understanding and insight are keys to change and growth. We work with clients to bring about healing, new perspectives, and change in behavior. Individual, couple and family therapy is available.

Under the clinical direction of Franklin Sollars, PhD, LP, our therapists offer caring and confidential treatment for a variety of issues and concerns. We offer both short-term and in-depth counseling and psychotherapy to children, adolescents, adults and elders.

I have been a therapist since 2003 and if there’s one thing I’ve learned over the years, it’s that everyone needs someone to talk to. We all have feelings, whether we feel happy, excited, anxious, worried, nervous, sad or depressed—we need to get those feelings off our chest. Another thing I’ve learned over the years is keeping those feelings bottled up inside can and will make us sick. Why is something as simple as getting things off our chest so difficult to do? I believe it’s because of our pride and fear of judgment about our feelings. As a therapist, I truly strive to allow people to speak freely in a safe environment.
