If you’re here, chances are you’re feeling overwhelmed, exhausted, or stuck in patterns that leave you hurting. Maybe anxiety keeps you up at night, depression makes it hard to get through the day, or grief has shaken your world. Perhaps you’re carrying the weight of trauma, struggling in a relationship that feels draining, or trying to hold it all together while silently falling apart inside. I want you to know—I get it. I understand how heavy it feels to wake up with dread, how lonely it is to feel unseen in your pain, and how confusing it can be to wonder if things will ever change. I'm here for you if you're ready for change.

I use a combination of humanistic, interpersonal, Mindfulness, and CBT techniques to help clients meet personal goals.
At times life can be overwhelming and it is difficult to know where to turn for help. Circumstances may seem out of control and do not make sense. Seeking support from a compassionate therapist can be useful. As a therapist I take into account the whole person and help you through your concerns. I offer a non-judgmental, supportive environment for you to express your full experience. I want you to feel safe knowing that you are being listened to and valued. Together, we can process, develop coping methods, and grow your inner strength to face what challenges have caused you to feel distress or concern.

I know how it feels to need support when times in life get challenging and I want you to know that it is always a strength to reach out for help. My therapeutic mission is to provide a safe, trusting, and trauma-informed environment for you to feel comfortable expressing yourself (even if it is for the first time). Vulnerability can be uncomfortable if you have never had a safe space to share your innermost thoughts/feelings, so let me be that safe space for you.

My approach is grounded in mindfulness and client-centered care.
You’re high-achieving, responsible, and the one people rely on. You care deeply, think deeply, and probably hold yourself to a high standard. But internally? You might be overanalyzing texts, replaying conversations, questioning whether you’re too much or not enough, and feeling emotionally drained in relationships. It's a painful cycle; one that feels impossible to step out of.

You’ve spent years wondering why your brain works differently. Maybe you’ve been told you’re “too much,” “too sensitive,” or “just not trying hard enough.” Maybe you’ve only recently received a diagnosis — or you’re still searching for answers. Whatever brought you here, I want you to know: you are not broken. You are finally in the right place. I specialize in working with women and men navigating ADHD, particularly those who received a late diagnosis and are now making sense of a lifetime of experiences through a new lens. I also work with autism spectrum experiences and the trauma that so often accompanies years of masking.

I blend evidence-based practices with mindfulness, movement, and creativity to help clients reconnect with their bodies.
Can you imagine having a painful, perhaps life-threatening wound, and just ignoring it?…and yet this is exactly what many of us do. No, we don’t go around bruised and bleeding outwardly, but inwardly, our spirits are deeply wounded. I believe trauma creates an ongoing sense of fear and problematic behaviors that have the potential to keep us addicted to self-sabotage. If you are tired of just "making it' through this life, anxious, irritable, lonely, and on guard... If you are struggling to understand yourself, and tired of being criticized for your emotions.  You are in the right place!

Mindfulness-Based (MBCT) Therapists
How does mindfulness-based cognitive therapy work?
Mindfulness-based cognitive therapy originated in the work of John Kabat-Zinn of the University of Massachusetts Medical School. He developed mindfulness-based stress reduction, which is a technique found in yoga and meditation. MBCT is a combination of this type of stress reduction and cognitive behavioral therapy; it essentially quiets emotional distress through mindfulness, utilizing proper breathing and meditation. These techniques aim to bring the individual into the present moment when in a state of distress.

When do I know if I need treatment with mindfulness-based cognitive therapy?
If an individual’s mind is filled with emotional distress and general negativity, the person may feel trapped. A mindfulness-based cognitive therapist can help a person change their thinking patterns as well as their behavior through calm acceptance and compassion. This therapy can provide an individual with the coping skills needed for a healthier and more constructive life.

What should I expect from mindfulness-based cognitive therapy?
This therapy often takes place in group sessions. A therapist will work with the group as well as with each individual. Meditation and breathing exercises are core practices that aim to invite inquiry and discovery into a person’s troubled mental state. The objective is to identify and lessen negative thoughts and behaviors and move toward optimal health and productivity. The individual will see life in a more realistic way. This therapy is supportive, accepting, and warm.

Is mindfulness-based cognitive therapy effective?
Mindfulness-based cognitive therapy is evidence-based and effective. One study found that people with major depressive disorder have benefitted from this type of therapy; the person accepts their distressed thoughts and also moves into healthier patterns of thinking. This therapy also aims to move an individual away from automatic negative responses. This type of therapy can bring a person lifelong change, with higher levels of satisfaction, less stress, as well as positive emotional and behavioral habits.
