I believe in a holistic approach to wellness. Our mind and body are connected to make up who we are. It is often hard work to get better and it requires commitment and patience. There will be times you will want to give up, however, know that I will be with you throughout the healing process. I will listen with an open mind and sometimes push you a little out of your comfort zone. My goal is to help you heal past hurts, hang ups and traumas.

I have been working in the field of Social Work/Mental Health since 2011. I am passionate about supporting individuals in learning about and processing through the ways life experiences and traumas have impacted them. I find that often times (not always) people develop symptoms related to anxiety, depression & other mental/behavioral health issues because of how they have learned to respond to and survive through traumas and adverse life experiences.

Check website out for current availability (May, 2026)! You’re the one everyone depends on—the strong friend, the caretaker, the problem-solver. But inside, you may feel drained, unseen, and guilty when you try to say no. Many of my clients come to me because they’re tired of pouring into others and leaving nothing for themselves. In therapy, I help you shift that pattern. Together, we’ll work toward healing through empowerment, insight, and reconnecting with your body. My approach honors how power, oppression, and trauma shape our lives while creating space for hope and restoration.

I am fully qualified with the Prolonged Exposure for PTSD Method, and have trainings with IFST and EFT as well as CBT.
Chances are, you have experienced this before. The feeling that things can't change, at least not for the better. The anxiety that is interrupting your sleep or work stress that follows you home and has you sniping at your loved ones instead of enjoying your time with them. Whatever it is that you're experiencing that has you wondering, "can therapy actually help me?", you've probably been through something like it before. I have too. As a clinician with over 10 years of experience helping others, and over 20 years of experience on the client side of the table, I can answer that question with a definitive "Yes!".

I believe that building a strong therapeutic relationship is the most important thing when starting therapy. I work diligently to provide a safe and comfortable space for my clients. It is important to me that my clients experience an atmosphere of trust and empathy in building the therapeutic alliance. Through deep processing, my hope is that the unconscious may come forward and bring new realizations to help in growth, healing, and understanding while navigating your life circumstances. I believe that growth comes in the uncomfortable circumstances that we face in life.

I enjoy working with women during different life transitions, from pre-teen girls to women aging and growing into themselves during menopause. Often my clients are parents navigating an autism diagnosis of their child, youth struggling with executive functioning or school stress, late-diagnosed autistic women, or helping professionals (such as teachers, nurses)facing burnout, and adoptive families adjusting to complex dynamics. They often feel overwhelmed, misunderstood, or exhausted from masking and over-functioning. They want practical tools, clarity, confidence, stronger relationships, relief, and to know they are not broken.

Using Internal Family Systems (IFS), attachment-based, and emotionally focused approaches, I provide a compassionate space where your experiences are valued and understood.
When we experience pain in relationships—whether early in life or in adulthood—we often learn to distance ourselves from difficult emotions as a way to cope. While these protective strategies may have helped us survive, they can also create disconnection within ourselves and in our relationships. Over time, unresolved attachment wounds can shape how we see ourselves, how we connect with others, and how safe we feel in relationships, often showing up as anxious or avoidant patterns that leave us feeling stuck.

Hello! Helping people is my passion and I am lucky enough to make a career out of it! Life can be challenging, developing coping skills to help work through life's potential ups and downs is something I love discovering with my clients. Therapy is a great place to determine and discover what is working for us and what is not. I am here to help with that! Sometimes we uncover traumatic events that have happened to us or we begin therapy due to experiencing a more recent traumatic event. I am trained in EMDR therapy and i'm trauma focused. I enjoy creating a safe environment for my clients to process, learn and grow in!

Emotionally Focused Therapists
Who is emotionally focused therapy for?
Emotionally focused therapy (EFT) is for couples who are emotionally distressed, stuck in an unsatisfying relationship pattern or feeling deeply alienated. They may even believe the relationship is beyond repair. Very often, the partners display intense anger, fear, grief, loss of trust, or a sense of betrayal in the relationship. In addition, EFT is helpful to couples and individuals who have difficulty expressing emotions and those who have trouble regulating emotions.

Why do people need emotionally focused therapy?
People need emotionally focused therapy because the need for others is built into the brain, but the pressures of daily life can erode feelings of love, and couples often do not have the skills to find their way back to the comfort of each other. Instead, they may be stuck in repetitive patterns of anger, fear, grief, loss of trust, or a sense of betrayal. Emotionally focused therapy regards such strong negative feelings as expressions of protest over the loss of connection and turns them into pathways of reconnection.

What happens in emotionally focused therapy?
Over the course of eight to 20 weekly sessions, couples de-escalate their negative emotional reactivity to one another so that they can listen to each other and be responsive to each other’s needs. Then the deep emotional and physical bond is restored, giving partners a sense of comfort and security, which they can use to solve whatever problems come their way. The therapist plays an active role, helping partners understand how anger and withdrawal are actually misguided cries for connection.

What problems does emotionally focused therapy treat?
EFT is designed to help couples stuck in dysfunctional relationship patterns regain closeness and rebuild their relationship. Typically, such couples experience considerable distress, with partners feeling alienated and distrustful of one another, not certain their relationship can survive. EFT is also helpful to individuals experiencing attachment-related fears of loss; it helps them learn to use their fears as a way of eliciting the closeness they desire.
