I believe in a holistic approach to wellness. Our mind and body are connected to make up who we are. It is often hard work to get better and it requires commitment and patience. There will be times you will want to give up, however, know that I will be with you throughout the healing process. I will listen with an open mind and sometimes push you a little out of your comfort zone. My goal is to help you heal past hurts, hang ups and traumas.

I work with adults (18+) ready to cultivate inner peace. Finding time during a busy week can be difficult, so I offer weekend appointments. Many feel fragmented navigating life's heavy realities; together, we safely explore all parts of you. Using a trauma-informed, psychoanalytic approach, I guide you toward profound self-understanding—nurturing discomfort and healing wounds to move toward an integrated life. I offer a virtual sanctuary for trauma, personality disorders, self-injury, OCD, anxiety, depression, and substance use. You don’t have to carry your world alone. If you are ready for growth, I would be honored to hold space.

Life is full of change. No matter the type of change life throws at you, it always comes with some adjustment, and often with some sense of loss, depression, or anxiety. Everyone experiences it, but not everyone thrives through it. I’m here to help you with the process. Whether it's a life change you've looked forward to for a long time, or one you never would have chosen for yourself, adjusting can be hard. I can provide that listening ear while you process, ask the hard questions, and offer you skills or resources to help along the way as needed.

I have over 25 years of experience working with people who are navigating life transitions. I know that when you’re in the middle of it, it can feel all-consuming. My job is to help you see the bigger picture: to rise above your current circumstances and see your life for all of its fullness and purpose. But I’m not just trained to help you. I can help because I’ve lived through some of the same things myself. I’ve been a caretaker, have overcome seemingly insurmountable challenges, and have experienced my own mid- and late-life transitions. I “get” it because I’ve lived it, too.

Maybe you feel troubled by something bad that happened to you. Maybe you feel overwhelmed by life and all that is going on in the world. Maybe you feel disconnected from those closest to you or how you thought life would be. Maybe you feel unsure of how this IS your life. Maybe you are struggling with panic and worry and nothing is working to help. Maybe you feel sad, unmotivated and stuck. Maybe you are a new social worker to the field and need some help. These are things we can work on together with my over 25 years experience in the field of Social Work as a Clinician, Case manager, Supervisor and Team Lead.

You were never meant to carry motherhood alone. As a therapist specializing in perinatal mental health, I work with women navigating pregnancy, postpartum, and the emotional shifts that can come with becoming a mother. Whether you are experiencing postpartum depression, anxiety, OCD, overwhelm, identity changes, intrusive thoughts, or simply feeling unlike yourself, therapy can be a place to exhale, feel understood, and begin healing. My work is deeply personal as well as professional. Having personally experienced postpartum depression and OCD, I understand how isolating, exhausting, and confusing this season can feel.

My goal is to provide a supportive space where you can begin building self-worth and confidence. I work with adults who struggle with self-criticism, people-pleasing, and feeling “not enough,” even when they’re doing their best. You may notice yourself stuck in doubt, anxious about how others see you, or overwhelmed by negative self-talk that keeps you from living fully. If this sounds familiar, you’re not alone—and you don’t have to carry it by yourself. Together, we’ll uncover the roots of these patterns, including past experiences and old beliefs that may have shaped the way you see yourself today.

Bipolar Disorder Therapists
What is the most successful approach to treating bipolar disorder?
Living with bipolar disorder can be challenging, and a number of therapies have been found effective in providing support to patients as they gain the skills to understand and manage the disorder. Family-focused therapy is often helpful for children and teens (the majority of cases develop before age 19); it aims to minimize mood cycling by improving family communication and reducing conflict. It also helps young people navigate the developmental challenges the disorder can create. Cognitive and behavioral therapy (CBT) and variants such as Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT)help patients manage the thoughts and feelings that influence bipolar mood swings as well as develop specific behavioral strategies to counteract them.

What happens in therapy for bipolar disorder?
Because the patterns of mood switching and its triggers differ for each person and can change over time, mood tracking or monitoring becomes a basic way patients learn about the nature of their condition. One of the most common features of therapy is finding a workable method of mood monitoring, in which patients track their daily activities and rate their moods, then use the findings to adjust routines accordingly. Patients learn ways of handling the many stresses that arise in life so that they do not trigger mood swings.

What kinds of problems does therapy help with?
Like many other mental health disorders, BPD is heavily influenced by stress; therapy provides skills for coping with stressors of all kinds. Therapy is extremely important for helping individuals identify the situations that may trigger mood switching, so that mood swings can be prevented. Therapy may especially target recognition of the early stages of mood change so that they can be managed. In addition, therapy helps patients deal with the significant amount of turbulence the disorder can create in relationships and in work life.

What is the goal of therapy for bipolar disorder?
Therapy helps patients set up their lives to maintain stability so that their mood isn’t constantly threatened by daily events. Perhaps the first task of therapy is to educate people about the nature of the disorder. At the same time, a primary goal of therapy is to enhance adherence to drug treatment. Extended periods of mood stability can prompt patients to discontinue medication, triggering relapse, while the early phases of manic episodes can feel so energizing that patients stop medication, ushering in full-blown mania and the altered self-perception that can lead to destructive behaviors. Another major goal of therapy is to understand one’s mood patterns so as to minimize both the frequency and intensity of mood cycling.
