I am in network with Blue Cross Blue Shield, Aetna, Cigna, and Priority Health.
A lot of the people I work with feel exhausted from carrying inner tension that never seems to fully quiet down. Maybe your mind never stops moving. Maybe you’ve spent years feeling misunderstood because of ADHD, anxiety, depression, or trauma that others couldn’t see. Or maybe your relationship with faith became tangled with fear, shame, perfectionism, or control, and now you’re trying to figure out what to hold onto, what to let go of, and how to trust yourself again.

I work with youth (from birth to 18) and their families through the challenges of infancy, early childhood, childhood, adolescence, and the transition to adulthood. Goals for our time together are often around managing symptoms of anxiety, depression, ADHD, grief, and/or trauma. I help youth cope with social challenges or changing family dynamics. We work to identify healthy and safe ways for the youth to express themselves and their feelings. We identify the ways that they are successfully doing so in some aspects of their lives in order to expand those already existing skills to help them be more successful in all environments.

I know you're "fine, totally fine, absolutely fine", but just in case you're a little "not fine", I am so glad that you found your way here! Many adversities heal on their own, just like small cuts on the skin. However, some experiences overwhelm the nervous system's capacity; preventing the system from resolving the stuck that is causing the yuck. In a trauma informed way I specialize in human sexuality; specifically intimacy & courtship disorders that include: compulsive sexual behavior (sex, love, and porn addiction), affairs, betrayal trauma, kink, fetish, paraphilia, & toxic relational patterns. This is a safe place to heal.

Hello! I am so glad that you have taken a step in beginning or continuing on your journey of healing and restoration. I recognize that seeing a new therapist for the first time can be quite overwhelming in itself, so my goal is to meet you where you are at to be able to foster a healthy therapeutic relationship. Throughout my experience, many of the people I have worked with have been diagnosed with bipolar disorder, anxiety, depression, adjustment disorder, PTSD, schizophrenia, borderline personality disorder or experiencing suicidal thoughts, but my goal is to look beyond the diagnosis and incorporate whole person care.

Making the decision to enter into therapy can be difficult, but finding the right therapist can even feel more challenging. To have success in counseling the most important element is to feel a connection with the therapist. Understanding the importance of the therapeutic relationship has allowed my clients to feel comfortable and achieve success in their therapeutic goals. I have practiced in this field for over twenty five years and still have the same excitement developing a therapeutic plan for each client and be part of their journey to success. Please feel free to contact me with any question you may have about counseling.

I believe we all possess a deep capacity for healing and growth, but we don’t have to do it alone. As a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) with a graduate degree from Baylor University, my practice is built on the power of whole-hearted living. This means having the courage to be vulnerable, the strength for self-compassion, and a commitment to genuine connection. My goal is to provide a warm, non-judgmental space where you can show up exactly as you are. I believe effective therapy happens in the context of a genuine, trusting relationship, and it is here that we can do our most meaningful work.

Hi, I'm Seth. Do you ever feel like there is an anvil of stress on your chest, or a constant whirling anxiety vortex in your head? Do you experience tears that seem to always be just beneath the surface or a deep, heavy sinking feeling in the pit of your stomach? Maybe a fog of confusion or utter chaos infiltrates your mind? Have you ever found yourself thinking or saying out loud "I am not ok!"? If this sounds like you, I see you, and I would love to help. Events and messages from your past have likely left your nervous system stuck in survival mode, coping in ways that are no longer sustainable. There is hope for healing.

You're tired of being stuck. Stuck in a rut of the same old emotions and behaviors you've fought for so long. Maybe your past or painful memories are holding you back, or perhaps the accusing thoughts have become too heavy. You're not sure exactly how to get out or how to change, but you're ready for something different, and you're tired of fighting alone.

Does insurance cover therapy, prescriptions and other behavioral health services?
In general, yes. Laws in the U.S. require insurers to cover essential behavioral health care at the same level as other health care services. Most health plans require a medical diagnosis and treatments that are evidence based and medically essential. This means that life coaching and alternative therapies are not covered, nor is therapy without a diagnosis. Call the number on the back or your insurance card or visit your insurance company's website to review your Summary of Benefits. If you have insurance through your employer, your Human Resources department may also be able to answer questions.

How much does therapy cost with insurance?
The cost of therapy depends on your region, how much training and experience your therapist has, and the type of treatment. The rate for talk therapy generally falls between $100 and $250. For a client seeing an in-network provider, the cost of therapy is often similar to the cost of other health care services. Clients pay co-pays and may need to satisfy a plan’s deductible before benefits kick in.

What is the difference between In-Network and Out-of-Network insurance coverage?
An in-network provider has contracted with an insurer to get paid directly for services, and to accept the insurer’s rate of compensation. Clients are responsible for deductibles and copays. If a therapist is out of network, that means that the client pays the therapist directly for services at the therapist’s regular fee. Out-of-Network providers often give clients a receipt so that they can file for partial reimbursement with their insurance company.

Is it difficult to find an In-Network therapist?
It is not unusual for therapists to limit the number of insurance patients in their practice, so it’s important to check in-network availability when you schedule your first appointment. In regions and times where therapy is in high demand it may take longer to get scheduled with an in-network therapist.

What is the difference between HMO and PPO insurance plans?
HMO health plans only cover in-network services, there is no reimbursement for out-of-network providers. PPO plans often cover both in- and out-of-network services, though the client may pay more for out-of-network services.

What is a Superbill?
A superbill is a receipt for therapy services. It provides all the information required by insurance companies to reimburse you for out-of-network services, including the diagnostic codes for your care, the amount paid, and the dates and duration of care.

Does insurance cover Online therapy?
Many therapists who shifted their practice to online therapy during the pandemic have kept that arrangement. And most insurers continue to cover telehealth services, with a few exceptions. Preventive care (such as an annual depression screening) is often required to be in-person to be covered, and some states require prescribers of controlled substances to see those patients in person.

Does insurance cover Group therapy?
Many insurance plans provide coverage for group therapy provided there is a medical diagnosis for group members, but there are some noteworthy exceptions. For example, Medicare does not always cover group therapy. Group therapy tends to cost less than individual therapy.

Does insurance cover Couples therapy?
Most insurance companies do not cover the cost of couples therapy because there is no medical diagnosis or medically necessary treatment. However, a few plans will offer a limited benefit, so it is still worth checking with your insurance company. Sometimes therapy is covered for a couple when one person has a diagnosis and another family member joins them for joint therapy, but it is considered therapy for the medical condition that includes a family member as a listener or helper, not couples counseling. Without insurance, most clients pay between $100-300 per 60-90 min session for couples therapy. Often clients can find classes or workshops that make it more affordable to work on their relationship. And some employers offer benefit plans that help defray the cost of couples therapy. Learn more about Insurance Coverage and Finding Affordable Therapy
