I enjoy working with individuals, families and couples. My goal is to provide a warm, non-judgmental and inviting space to process and improve: relationships (familial, friendships, work or love), difficulty balancing obligations, challenges with stress or anxiety, self-esteem issues and/or depressive tendencies. I help people identify relational, thought and behavioral patterns that may have once been functional but are no longer helpful. My ideal client is looking for active therapy that has a practical application to help with immediate symptom relief while also changing lifelong patterns of behavior for longer term change.

I specialize in Depression, Anxiety, Trauma, Behavioral Issues, Addiction, Codependency and more with a systemic therapeutic approach.
Together we can find the strengths and power you already have within yourself. We can explore different methods in order to develop and move forward toward the goals you have for yourself. Sometimes it just takes someone to listen. I would never presume to know what's best for you, but will help you decide that path.

No matter how hard you try to move forward, you feel like your taking one step back. You’re a high performer with perfectionism tendencies and always put on a smile, which helps you forget your pain. You feel you will never be fully happy and never be able to fully enjoy life how others do, because of your many losses, attributing to your decreased self esteem. You may keep friends and family at a distance, to protect yourself from yet another inevitable loss. You may have stopped exercising and taking care of yourself the way you used to, since it takes too much work and you're just surviving at the end of another long day.

Life is full of ups and downs. We all experience challenges along the way. Anxiety, sadness, loss, fear and self-doubt are all a part of being human. Sometimes, we just get stuck. That’s okay. Resilience, growth and self-discovery are also part of the human experience.

It's to be steady and reliable while you reclaim the autonomy that anxiety, depression, codependency, or stress has been quietly stealing from you.
The goal is to help you strengthen your ability to trust yourself, communicate clearly, and set boundaries without guilt. I'm here for as long as you need — and the ultimate goal is that when the time feels right for you, you'll be equipped to handle whatever life throws at you with confidence, whether or not you're still in therapy.

I help clients heal the root causes beneath anxiety, depression, substance and behavioral addiction, codependency, burnout, and relationship issues.
My ideal clients are bright, insightful adults, often with advanced education or lived wisdom, who on some level feel disconnected despite outward stability. Most have carried childhood roles like hero, caretaker, lost child, or scapegoat into adulthood. Some build careers; others raise families—many do both. Yet they often feel lonely, frustrated or unfulfilled in their relationships and/or careers. I work equally well with men and women of all ages. Whether outwardly successful or quietly holding it all together, they’re ready to stop performing and start truly living.

I work with individuals and couples who feel stuck in patterns they can’t seem to change—whether that shows up in relationships, anxiety, or emotional reactivity. Many clients come to me after trying therapy before and still feeling stuck. Often, these patterns are rooted in earlier experiences and attachment relationships, which can make them difficult to shift through insight alone. My approach is relational and grounded in attachment, integrating EMDR to help process and resolve the underlying experiences driving these patterns. This allows for meaningful changes in how you think, feel, and respond—not just short-term coping.

You’re used to holding it together. You show up, get things done, and people rely on you, but internally, it’s a different story. Your mind doesn’t shut off, stress builds quickly, and past experiences can feel closer than you’d like. You may be a caregiver, a professional, and/or a first responder carrying more than most people see. At some point, pushing through stops working. Therapy with me is a place where you don’t have to perform or have it all figured out. I work with people who are used to being “the strong one” but are ready for real relief, not just short-term coping.

If you're the person laying in bed, thinking about all the mistakes you made or worrying about what people thought of you all day, and it feels like a car is sitting on your chest, I get it. Do you constantly fear what other people think about you? Worry about conversations and replay them with all your mistakes living rent free in your head? What if it didn't have to be that way? How amazing would it be to go to bed and actually sleep- To feel refreshed and happy each day? Wouldn't it be great to have energy and be able to get things done for once instead of constantly feeling stuck? Through therapy, I can help you.

Codependency Therapists
What therapy types help with codependency problems?
Both couples and family therapy and cognitive and behavioral therapy (CBT) can help with the relationship difficulties referred to as codependency. Such problems typically include inappropriate feelings of responsibility for a loved one’s destructive behavior, irrational patterns of thinking about such behavior, and family interaction patterns in which the needs of one troubled member override the needs of others in a household.

What happens in therapy for codependency?
Spouses and family members learn and practice how to interact and support each other in a healthy way without sacrificing their own needs or well-being. They learn the limits of their responsibility for their loved ones and correct faulty patterns of thinking and feeling that underlie codependent behavior. Individuals may be encouraged to nurture an array of social relationships and to cultivate their own talents and interests so that they develop a healthy sense of self outside the family.

How does therapy help a person or couple overcome codependency?
Therapy helps people establish healthy ways of being in a relationship. Spouses and family members learn how to nurture and support one another without sacrificing their own needs or allowing the needs of one person to dominate the dynamic. Individuals learn how to say no and set boundaries, and how to maintain their own identity and self-esteem. Therapy helps people understand that they are not responsible for the feelings and actions of others. It also helps individuals deal with the turbulence that can come from living with a person suffering from such conditions as substance abuse and mental illness.

What is the goal of therapy for codependency?
One goal of therapy for codependency is to alleviate feelings of responsibility for and correct irrational patterns of thinking about loved ones whose behavioral problems override the needs of others in a household. Therapy helps people establish healthy boundaries of behavior and speak up for their own needs in a relationship. In addition, people learn how to maintain a healthy relationship, one in which both parties give and receive equally and are able to retain their own identity.
