I work with individuals and couples who feel stuck in patterns they can’t seem to change—whether that shows up in relationships, anxiety, or emotional reactivity.
My work is relational, integrating EMDR to help process the experiences that shape how you think, feel, and respond. Therapy with me is about understanding the patterns beneath the surface and helping those patterns shift at their root. I have spent the past several years deepening my work through EMDR training and consultation, including couples EMDR.

I specialize in treating adults experiencing a variety of problems including, but not limited to, insomnia, depression, anxiety, substance use disorders, difficulty coping with medical illness, life transition, PTSD, and stress management.
Deciding to enter therapy can be intimidating but it shouldn't be. Whether you are experiencing a new challenge or a long-standing problem, therapy is a wonderful opportunity for self-healing and growth. Often people enter therapy because they notice something feels "off" but are having a hard time identifying the problem; others come in knowing the problem but are struggling with how to address it. I will help you clarify the problem and together we will work together to identify goals and create a plan to help you reach those goals.

Now Accepting New Referrals for Virtual Therapy. As an integrative trauma therapist, I specialize in guiding individuals back to the Self and creating the conditions for healing. Therapy can be a powerful catalyst for transformation, improving not only our own quality of life but also creating lasting, positive effects for generations. Human beings are remarkably resilient and adaptive to their surroundings. At times this can be a gift, and at times it can lead us down paths that no longer serve us. Given the right environment, our minds and bodies carry an innate capacity to heal. You already carry everything you need within.

Anxiety Therapists
When should I seek treatment for anxiety?
Everyone feels anxious at times, but when anxiety causes disruption to your daily life, it may be time to seek help. Such disruption can be mental, physical, or both: having fear dominate your thoughts, avoiding situations or objects that bring on feelings of anxiety, or experiencing shortness of breath, sweating, dizziness, or panic attacks. When these symptoms are recurrent and distressing, it may be time to talk to someone.

What are the most common types of treatment for anxiety?
Talk therapy, particularly cognitive behavioral therapy, is the most common treatment for anxiety. Studies have shown it is equally effective as medication. Other popular forms of therapy are popular, depending on a patient’s experience. Exposure therapy, for instance, can be useful for people dealing with fears and phobias, or who have experienced traumatic events. Dialectical Behavioral Therapy may be useful for patients who need help with emotion regulation. Anxiolytic medications, like benzodiazepines, can also help with calming a person enough to focus on the skills they’ve learned, and physical exercise has been shown to help symptoms of anxiety across the board.

How long does therapy for anxiety take to work?
The amount of time needed to alleviate symptoms depends on the severity of a person’s condition. Some therapies may take 5-20 weekly sessions to show results. Anti-depressant medications typically take two to four weeks before a benefit is felt. Anti-anxiety medications are felt typically within 20-30 minutes. Medications are best used to offer a patient a better headspace in which to work on techniques learned in therapy. Exercise, improved sleep habits, and meditation are effective, but takes weeks or months to show results.

How effective is treatment for anxiety?
Treatment for anxiety has been shown to be moderately to highly effective, according to a large body of psychology studies and analyses. For some people, treatment using CBT or exposure therapy alone is effective. Others respond best to a combination of medication and therapy.
