I specialize in anxiety, relationship concerns, transracial adoption, and sex therapy for women.
Maybe you've tried therapy before and didn't get the outcome you wanted. Maybe you were, or are, skeptical to begin with! I thrive working with clients who are wiling to give therapy another chance, and also welcome new-to-therapy clients looking for long-lasting change. I offer a depth-oriented approach that challenges you to dig deeper into your patterns, your relationships, and your parts of self, and I'm attentive to how sociopolitical factors affect our mental health. I am privileged to be part of your transformative process of healing as you turn away from that which doesn't serve you and turn toward what matters most.

All are welcome, but I do have specialized training in sex therapy, trauma, working with members of the kink and non-monogamy communities, queer, trans and questioning people.
Were you constantly told that you were: not good enough, not right, too much or too little? That you don’t fit in? Do you find that even as hard as you try, you struggle to make things work in relationships, in jobs, or in your life? And you finally wonder: maybe it doesn’t have to be this way. You are right: it doesn’t. I can help you connect with your authentic self so you can live the life you want.

I received my bachelor’s degree in psychology with a concentration in women, gender, and sexuality studies from Kalamazoo College and my masters in social work from the University of Michigan.
Times are very tough right now, but reaching out for help should not be. By asking for help you are already taking the first step to making your mental health a priority. As a therapist, I provide an inclusive and empathetic space for my clients to begin the healing journey. Opening up to a stranger is scary and I am here to make that first step less frightening. I do not approach therapy as a one-size fits all style. People are unique and their environment and experiences make them who they are.

My speciality is working with adolescents, young adults and adults who feel marginalized and am trained as a sex therapist.
Ever feel like you don't matter? Feel lonely, disconnected and don't know where to turn? Well, you matter! Let's talk!! I have worked with adolescents and young adults for over 25 years. Often times people who identify outside the "norm" feel like they don't matter, they do! The world around you is so uncertain and at times and can be not safe. Maybe you have experienced trauma, anxiety, depression, bullying, or you just feel marginalized. You need to feel safe to talk and work through your concerns. It's exhausting to carry that burden alone. I enjoy working with all ages and specilize in sex and gender related concerns.

My client has the answers they need inside of them, they may just need some perspective. Most of my clients have experienced trauma in their lives in some form, and struggled with finding themselves or finding meaning in their life experience afterward. Folks tend to find me to explore deeper aspects of self after building some foundational tools of mental well-being. I enjoy navigating and exploring the full-range of human experience including issues pertaining to identity and sexuality, unearthing fears and anxieties, boundary setting, and building expression in all areas of life.

I hold a certificate from the Sexual Health Certificate Program at the University of Michigan, focusing on Sex Therapy.
If you like the Robin Williams therapist character from the movie "Good Will Hunting," that is who I try to embody. I believe in meeting people where they're at, and helping them find and use the tools to work through their pain. I can help if you're struggling with depression, anxiety, sleep difficulties, poor self-esteem, trauma, or adjustment issues. I really like to help people go deeper into their present issues, through a somatic, psychodynamic, and attachment focused lens. I am also really interested in intuitive eating.

I also bring this general treatment approach to bear successfully on a broad range of mental health concerns other than sex addiction.
I specialize in sex and internet pornography addiction. I work one-on-one with indivuals, couples, families, and those attracted to minors. My primary treatment goal is to help the sexually addicted individual overcome the addiction and find inner healing. Additionally, I work to promote healing within badly damaged intimate relationships. Initially, I aim to help clients gain immediate relief from the feelings of overwhelm and distress that brought them to counseling to begin with. Subsequently, I collaborate with clients to diagnose and heal the deeper sources and causes of their suffering and addiction.

I also work extensively with college students as they grapple with issues of sexuality, substance use, and peer culture.
Life can be hard. Young people face a number of challenges-- family stresses, anxiety about growing older and separating from parents, peer pressure, the lure of substances. As adults, we also face painful stressors-- divorce, for example, losses, aging. We can become stuck, overwhelmed, and confused. In my work with adolescents and adults, I offer an engaged, intensive approach that will allow us to understand how longstanding dysfunctional patterns and beliefs affect your daily life. Specialized training and decades of experience have taught me that the better we understand ourselves, the better we can handle challenges and implement adaptive solutions.
