Change can bring up a lot - anxiety, low self-worth, stress in relationships, or unresolved pain from the past. I work with children, teens, and adults who are navigating life’s transitions and challenges, whether that’s starting something new, feeling emotionally stuck, or trying to make sense of big feelings. Many of my clients are seeking a space where they can simply be themselves - no pressure to perform, just space to slow down and be supported.

I also work with adolescents, young adults, and adults navigating anxiety, depression, women's issues, trauma, identity and transitional struggles, grief, and sports-related stress.
Hi, I'm Sarah! I approach each client with warmth, curiosity, and compassion, honoring you as the expert of your own experiences while creating a space where healing and growth feels safe and collaborative. My work is grounded in a holistic perspective that recognizes the strong connection between the mind and body. Stress, trauma, and emotional pain are often carried physically, contributing to symptoms that may go unnoticed or unaddressed over time. By integrating somatic, mindfulness-based, and trauma-informed approaches, I aim to support greater well-being, fulfillment, self-understanding, and connection.

After a traumatic experience, it's common to feel like you're constantly on edge—waiting for the next bad thing to happen. You might find yourself downplaying what you went through, telling yourself, 'It wasn’t that bad,' or comparing what you experienced to others. Maybe it feels hard—or even unsafe—to express your needs or set boundaries. You might feel broken, unlovable, or wonder if something is just wrong with you. If any of this sounds familiar, you’re not alone and you don't have to feel this way forever. Together, we can work toward healing in a space where your story is honored and your safety matters.

There is no one more put together than a person in recovery. Living in recovery is working a program of mental health, staying clean and sober, and living one day at a time. With that being said, each person’s specific program looks different, with the common factor of living a balanced life of being grateful, mindful, spiritual, and finding a sense of community among other recovering individuals. My specialty areas are addictions, mental health, trauma, codependency issues, and how these affect you and those who love you.

Women's Issues Therapists
How do you encourage a woman to go to therapy?
It’s helpful to express concern and love for the person while framing therapy as a tool for improving their life. Offering specific examples of how an individual may be suffering, and what effects it has on them, should be done with compassion and with empathy. It may be useful to devise a game plan—breaking the process down into parts, such as finding a therapist, making appointments, and looking into insurance coverage.

How can women prepare for therapy?
Women can prepare for therapy by being willing to talk about their past experiences and their private thoughts. Before a session, an individual may want to reflect on how they’ve felt since the last session and what’s happened in their lives. Between sessions, it can be useful to write down notes about their reaction to a given event or how they felt at a particular time.

How long does therapy for women’s issues often last?
As with any type of therapy, sessions depend on the individual and the challenges they face. Therapy types like Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), Prolonged exposure therapy (PET), and Eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) can be brief, most often ranging from between 5 and 20 sessions. In some cases, such as for women with eating disorders, residential treatment may be recommended for an individual who is judged to be at high risk of self-harm. For any therapy, the duration will depend on the progress made and results realized.

How can women overcome stigma around specific challenges in order to seek therapy?
Women dealing with domestic abuse, sexual assault, eating disorders, and any other number of troubles may feel a stigma around seeking help. It’s important to remember that these issues are not uncommon and there is no shame in getting help for them. Therapy is confidential, and women can talk about their experiences without fear of judgment. Seeking therapy can be a courageous and liberating act, and an important step toward healing and recovery.
