I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with over 10 years of experience in the mental health field. I have a passion for working with survivors of trauma, and especially enjoy working with teenagers. I enjoy working with individuals and families in an effort to help each person reach their goals. I believe therapy is a way to explore our deepest thoughts, worries, and concerns in a safe environment and to improve overall quality of life.

I have been working in the behavioral health field for over 25 years, primarily with adults, who are experiencing substance abuse, and related issues. I try to provide a safe environment where individuals can begin to relate their story, and experience grace and truth over time to grow and heal.

I provide a comprehensive range of therapeutic services to adults and adolescents of all ages. I specialize in treatment for those coping with or recovering from narcissistic abuse. Narcissistic abuse can have a profound impact on self-esteem, leading to self-doubt and introspection: ‘Why did I stay so long? Why can’t I change them? Is everything really my fault? How can I trust myself to choose a healthy romantic partner in the future?’ As a survivor of narcissistic abuse, I wrestled with those questions myself.

I am committed to helping individuals find the strength within themselves and to share that with those most important to them. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Registered Play Therapist. I consider therapy to be my life's work and find it an honor to be entrusted with being a vessel for others each day. I have vast experience working with children, adolescents, young adults and families. I specialize in working with issues related to adoption, foster care, sexual abuse, complex trauma, PTSD, attachment, depression, anxiety as well as grief and loss. I am passionate and committed to my work with children, adolescents and their families.

Over 25 years of experience with those who are grieving, people at end-of-life, older clients, and people in crisis have shown me life events occur in the context of personal story. My goals are to create a safe place to share that story, and to facilitate the client experiencing the story with increased awareness, compassion and respect. We will explore and celebrate strengths, and through a multitude of interventions ranging from getting to know the client's system, education, mindfulness, reflection and dream work, find ways to enhance the client's strengths and wisdom.
