My name is Cynthia Tobar-McCoy and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in New Mexico and Oklahoma. I am honored each day to walk along side individuals who choose to therapuetically journey through the path of overcoming life stressors. Stressors can come in the form of experiencing conflict in relationships with family, couples, marital and peer groups, as well as grief, trauma and suffering from posttraumatic stress. Stress can also manifest itself when working to maintain a healthy recovery plan that addresses certain medical conditions of depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder and obsessive compulsive disorder.

I graduated from the OU in 1982. I have been in been in private practice, providing psychotherapy in OK for over 40 years. I provide both short term problem focused and long term therapy. Anxiety, anger, and stress management programs are available. Regardless of the type of therapy offered my emphasis is on educating and empowering the client with useful tools. One of these tools is Tai Chi mindfulness exercises, when requested. These tools enable the client to identify, to understand and manage their issues when they leave my office.

Maurene Pantaleano has dedicated over six years to the behavioral health field. She earned her bachelor's in psychology from Ohio University in 2017, where she conducted research and provided testing for children with ADHD. She then completed her master's in counseling at the University of Rochester, NY, focusing on trauma work in domestic violence shelters and youth residential treatment programs. She has experience in community-based settings, including schools and integrated care models. She currently works at Collaborative Counseling and Training, a private practice in NW Oklahoma City.
