My name is Michelle Reed. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, LPC. I have been working in the counseling field for the past 7 years. My experience as a counselor with children, adolescents and adults is comprised from working in various settings to include: community, private practice, intensives family intervention (IFI) in-home, intensive outpatient, residential and inpatient crisis stabilization.

I have always enjoyed working with children, adolescents, and their families. Currently, my primary focus is on the assessment of autism spectrum disorders (ASD), as well as other common problems in the pediatric population, including developmental delays, learning problems, Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), emotional disorders, behavioral issues, and more. I am also able to provide a variety of treatment planning/care coordination services, but do not currently offer therapy services. In addition to my work with children and families, I also offer assessment and treatment planning services for adults on the autism spectrum and with other developmental concerns.

I have over 15 yrs experience working with children, adolescents, young adults and military families addressing issues such as anxiety, depression, anger management, self-esteem, suicidality, grief and loss, family conflict, parenting skills, emotion regulation, self harm, and trauma.

I am a native of the South, but I have lived in many places--California, Texas, Germany. Served in the US Army for four years, got my Masters in counselling afterwards. I have worked in mental health facilities (including prison) since 2006 and on contract since 2010. I started working as a counsellor with US soldiers in 2010, and with Marines and sailors in 2012 I really enjoy working with military members (past or present) and their families, as well as civilians from all walks of life and the many stages of living.

Hello, I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with 20 years of experience. I received my Bachelors of Arts degree from Clark Atlanta University and my Masters of Science degree from Abilene Christian University. My experience is derived from working in an all-male maximum-security prison, my position as a school counselor to provide counseling to children in need of temporary, situational, and/or ongoing emotional challenges, my years acting as a mobile crisis assessor, and my role as supervisor for a state-wide crisis hotline. Additionally, I worked as a Military Family Life Counselor for 9 years overseas in Europe and stateside.
