I have worked with adult individuals and with couples for 25+ years. I love what I do. As a part of my practice I utilize various psychological theories while interlacing skill-building techniques related to depression, anxiety/panic, and anger management, communication skills, healthy boundaries, personal growth self-awareness, and trauma/abuse histories. I strive to help people live more fully and functionally in their present-day lives by better understanding how the experiences and relationships from their past inform current experiences, emotions and behavior choices.

I am grateful for an opportunity to assist you with navigating counseling, and helping you become a more whole version of yourself. I truly believe the therapeutic process is collaborative, and I strive to offer a welcoming and supportive environment for all of my clients. I believe that therapy should be more accessible, which is why I offer a flexible payment scale. I am currently only offering telehealth counseling in the state of AL at this time.

My own mental health journey has led me on a path to help others in a deeply understanding way that only comes from lived experience. My areas of special interest are new parents, women's mental health, religious trauma, and LGBTQ+ affirming care.

Everyone experiences difficult or emotional situations. Sometimes, it can be difficult to cope with changes that feel overwhelming. You may be facing a divorce, or an important decision in your parenting, work, or life transitions. My practice is devoted to helping children, adolescents, adults, and families work through family and parenting issues, which may include separation, divorce, remarriage, blending their families, loss and/or grief. I bring my current experience as a counselor, my former experience in family and child development, and my personal family experiences with divorce, remarriage, and parenting, to each client.

At the same time we can feel overwhelmed especially if our children have experienced abuse, are acting out, experiencing adjustment to a divorce or other family changes, making bad choices, or seem sad and worried. I lead AND follow - I may prompt, encourage, and confront, but I follow a client's pace (willingness and readiness) to delve into the issues.
