Hello! My name is Merrie. I became a therapist after my own life challenging experiences led me to life changing experiences in therapy. Therapy is for anyone who wants to improve their mental health, enhance coping skills, process grief and loss, recover from trauma and improve connection in relationships. For 15 years it has been my privilege to help change many lives, to encourage, inspire and challenge my clients to live the life they are meant to live. My goal is to empower my clients towards personal growth, healing, and resilience.
I work with individuals and couples. Models of therapy I use include CBT, Cognitive Processing Therapy, a trauma model; Emotionally Focused Therapy, for couples. I have been privileged to work as an educator with families and couples experiencing separation or divorce. I am also a board approved supervisor for new therapists.
