I am a psychotherapist with clinical and academic training in social work and women’s and gender studies. My work stems from an anti-racist, anti-oppressive, and critical social work perspective, and centers on collective relationship building. My approach to therapy is relational at its core and recognizes our need for connectivity with other beings, with ourselves, and with our environments. I have a warm and eclectic approach to therapy and use various methods to help support my clients. I am also currently enrolled in EMDR Basic Training with Deany Laliotis of the Center for Excellence in EMDR Therapy.

I enjoy working with adolescents and adults, particularly folks who have been historically marginalized. I have experience working with neurodivergent and queer, trans, and gender-variant individuals. I am also kink and poly aware and affirming and sex-worker allied.

I am grateful to meet clients where they are. My goal as a therapist is to help identify individual strengths and provide support in the meaning-making process. I believe that a safe, affirming therapeutic space can give us a unique opportunity to explore our embodiment and relationships. I look forward to the possibility of building an alliance with you.

TransTeens Support Group

The Frederick Center's TransTeens group is a FREE, twice-monthly support group for youth ages 14-18 who are questioning their gender and/or identify as transgender, non-binary, and/or gender non-conforming. Facilitated by Merrick McKelvie, LMSW, a transgender licensed mental health clinician, TransTeens is a safe, nonjudgmental space for gender-diverse youth to find community, navigate challenges, share resources, and celebrate their identities. The group meets on the first and third Tuesdays of the month from 6:30-8:00 pm at The Frederick Center. Contact TransTeens@thefrederickcenter.org for more information.
