We all have untapped resilience. Adversity can be a gift. As a therapist my goal is to help you live your life with more agency, healthier relationships and increased joy. Change is possible at any stage of life. We are all life-long learners. We begin to change when we feel understood. In the early pandemic when sessions were all remote, I was surprised at the intimacy and versatility of that format. But nothing can replace meeting face-to-face in a room, so I now work both remote and in-person. Either way, it's a fair question: Who doesn't still feel the need for human contact?
Many of my clients seek relief from anxiety and depression, having endured loss or trauma. My work is founded on the neurobiology of attachment. I have extensive training in neurofeedback and breath practices to calm the nervous system. Having worked in education and the arts, I know that self-expression can build a life that is more rich and more authentic.
A good therapist has an open mind and unconditional acceptance. A sense of humor helps. The work of psychotherapy is profound and rewarding.
