Alison Flynn Bobroski is a graduate of Walden University where she received her Master's Degree. She is an Independent Contract Clinician at Genesis Counseling with locations in Coral Springs, Boca Raton, Delray Beach and virtually throughout Florida. Alison has experience working with children, teens and adults. Alison worked with a multitude of presenting issues, such as anxiety, depression, mood disorders, trauma, childhood related issues, behavioral issues, family conflict, stress and other presenting symptoms. Melissa Nugent is the founder of For A Whole Life, LLC. Her approaches are holistic. She believes that healing involves caring for the mind, body and spirit. She works collaboratively with her clients’ medical doctor, nutritionist or other healthcare providers in order to ensure that they are achieving their true potential in all aspects of life. As a Brazilian immigrant, I commit to offering a multicultural perspective, assisting diverse clients, and tailoring the therapeutic process to unique individuals. You wish you could make it stop. The little voice inside your head that tells you, “You’ll never be good enough.” You’re losing sleep. You feel exhausted. And yet you just can’t seem to get that little voice to be quiet, even for just a few minutes a day. It started when you were a child, from a critical parent who demanded you get straight As on your report card, participate in numerous sports, and volunteer on the weekend. And when you weren’t perfect, their disappointment was known. You were used to the silent treatment. You were used to being afraid of their reaction. You were used to the unachievable standard.

On the outside it looks like you have it all together, but inside you're engaged in a constant struggle for control. Your anxiety, OCD, and/or eating disorder has taken over your life. You find yourself in a constant loop of feeling worried, nervous, stressed and at times not good enough, thin enough, or smart enough. You’re stuck and unable to find the relief that you crave, so you try temporary fixes. Sometimes you disconnect and avoid people and your responsibilities, sometimes you binge, sometimes you purge, and sometimes you try to use anything that will distract your mind. You find, however, that your mind just wont turn off.

I am a Board Certified in Clinical Child and Adolescent Psychologist, licensed in Florida and in New York. I am originally from Brazil, and I speak Portuguese and English. I work with young children to adults with anxiety, ADHD, neuro-developmental disorders, depression, behavioral disorders, selective mutism, family difficulties, psychological evaluations, and consultation to schools, doctors, and places of work. I use empirically-based protocols of therapy, such as Cognitive Behavior Therapy, and Parent-Child Interactive Therapy. I incorporate parents, teachers, and others in the treatment team, and often therapy happens at school, at home, or other settings where the difficulties happen.

She attained her Masters in Mental Health Counseling from Florida Atlantic University. She has 17 years experience working with clients with mental health and substance abuse disorders and individuals dealing with attachment issues and childhood trauma.
