About
With over 40 years experience working with families, couples, and individuals, I have in-depth knowledge about strengthening relationships, utilizing one's personal and family resiliency, improving self efficacy and empowering people to find their personal path and voice. Many of my clients are dealing with the aftermath of addiction, loss, trauma, violence, and betrayal. I attempt to assist people to understand the jigsaw puzzle of life in order to feel, think, and behave more congruently with their inner self while improving their significant relationships.
As an MFT my clinical work and training experience is grounded in systems theory with an integrative approach that incorporates communications, experiential, structural, insight and relational models of treatment. My addiction treatment work is enhanced by a deep understanding of and belief in the possibility of wellness through recovery.
My experience teaching addictions counseling and working with a collegiate recovery program at the University of Nevada, Reno adds to my clinical awareness. I love training other clinicians and sharing with clients the joy of experiencing healing and happiness. I presently supervise other professionals and my practice is limited to three days a week.
