My passion is helping clients manage stress, anxiety, issues related to anxiety and depression, and adjusting to major life changes. Daily life is can be stressful, and we could all use some support to help us work through the difficult experiences we have had to address. I create a calming, safe, and supportive environment where you can talk about whatever challenges you are navigating free of judgement. I ask clients to be partners in their treatment, and I believe that a strong therapeutic relationship is crucial to the counseling process. Together, we will work to overcome the areas you feel you are struggling to address.
I approach counseling from an evidence-based cognitive behavioral therapy perspective. Unfortunately, we cannot change what we have experienced, but we can change how we think about them and what we do not to make our lives better. These changes can then lead to a different emotional response.
As an LPC with almost 9 years of experience, I understand that therapy can seem intimidating. However, my goal is to make it approachable and attainable. I focus on taking counseling one step at a time. I feel this approach is the best way to conduct counseling as it allows for us to make achievable steps towards change.
