Connecting with clients is a privilege and a joy that never gets old. My sessions are tailored to help you, the client, reach your goals. I am person centered and utilize an eclectic mix of therapeutic techniques including EMDR, IFS, ACT, and CBT. I have been practicing therapy for over 10 years and I have worked with a variety of ages and life stages.
I strive to create a warm and shame-free space during the therapy session. Therapy sessions often focus on the creation and use of coping and communication skills. I also find it is important to identify individual core beliefs and strengthen good, adaptive beliefs that will then improve thoughts, feelings, and actions.
The first counseling session can naturally feel a bit awkward. My goal is to make you, the client, feel comfortable and welcomed. I aim to provide a safe, judgement free zone. You are getting to know me and I am getting to know you. Your first few sessions I will let you do most of the talking. I am just listening. I want you to feel heard and understood.
