About
I can help you if you are struggling with depression, anxiety, loss, work stress, parenting and much more. My approach to therapy draws from modalities such as art therapy and mindfulness based practices, Health at Every Size, and trauma informed practice. I understand that sometimes it is difficult to talk about one's emotions. However, even without words, it's often helpful to express those feelings through other mediums. I also help clients better understand their internal thought patterns, their motivations to make healthy changes in their lives, and their daily attentional patterns.
I deeply believe in empowering my clients to trust and care for themselves. This often involves some fears and exploring the unknown or uncomfortable parts of ourselves or our past. I know that asking for help and seeking therapy can be a difficult step for some and I want to make the process as easeful as possible for you.
I am a white-bodied, Queer therapist. I strive to provide culturally relevant therapy, which means I make attempts to meet clients where they are. Over the past several years, I have been actively examining my own bias, history, culture, and life experience as a therapist and teacher being raised in the U.S. with a Eurocentric lens.
