My approach to therapy is empathetic and gentle, yet practical and straightforward. I use cognitive behavioral therapy, which is the most widely used evidence-based practice. I partner with my clients to challenge their thoughts, ideas, and behaviors with the goal of facilitating real, lasting change and to achieve personal growth. Some of my specialties include anxiety, depression, substance abuse, coping skills, military family issues, marriage and family counseling.
I have been practicing since 2011 working in crisis centers, the community and in the court system. I then began working in private practice. I have significant experience with patients suffering from depression, anxiety disorders, substance abuse, bipolar disorder and suicidal thoughts. At this time, I offer Teletherapy throughout the state of Texas.
In addition to my specialties, I also have personal experience in being in a military family, which enriches my work with military families and individuals in those families. Teletherapy can also be used if appropriate.
