I work predominantly, but not exclusively, with male clients. I have been described as pragmatic (definition: "dealing with things sensibly and realistically in a way that is based on practical rather than theoretical considerations" & "the study of how context contributes to meaning.") My approach in counseling is well captured in these descriptions. We will approach things sensibly and realistically, seeking understanding, clarity, & truth. We will explore language and context to gain insight, guide decision making, and heal old wounds. We will work as partners to identify growth areas, resolve issues, set goals, & affect change.

I am a Level 2 Certified IFS Therapist. IFS or Internal Family Systems therapy is an evidence-based approach, helping people heal by accessing & healing their protective & wounded inner parts and strengthening Self (the part of you that is confident, calm, compassionate, courageous, creative, clear, curious, & connected). I specialize in men's mental health, though I also work with couples & families. My approach is direct but not directive. We will spend part of our first session establishing how we will work together & what we will do. My practice is self-pay. Payment is due at time of service; we do not process insurance.
