I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and Mental Health Services Provider (LPC/MHSP) based in Memphis, TN, and working with clients via telehealth. I work with adolescents and adults dealing with mood disorders, substance use disorder, depressio,n and anxiety using cognitive behavioral therapy, client-centered therapy, and acceptance and commitment therapy to help clients find healthy coping mechanisms so they can begin to feel better.
My therapeutic approach varies based on the needs of the client. I often utilize cognitive behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, and a client-centered approach. My belief is that a strong therapeutic alliance is key and that these modalities work well for the client and me to work together to find a way to heal and move forward.
I like to create an environment that makes it easy for the client to feel comfortable. I take the clients' problems seriously, though I do believe there are times laughter can be medicinal. I am approachable and relatable.
