You deserve to live a life on your terms. Sometimes this can seem impossible when experiencing anxiety, depression or low self esteem. You feel stuck. My belief is that psychotherapy is fundamentally an opportunity to gain a deeper sense of personal meaning and allow for more self-understanding, which can help to reduce these intense emotions. This journey is unique for every client and my role is to help you discover the deeply rooted, and often unconscious, ways that you view yourself, patterns of behavior you engage in, and the automatic ways that your body reacts to and holds onto experiences.
My approach is interactive; together we create a space where you are seen, heard, and understood. It is in this space that I will not only listen to your story but also be assessing how your body is reacting to the events in your life.
I use mindfulness, cognitive work and EMDR in session, all practices that will help you to learn how to regulate yourself better and ultimately allow for healing from past traumatic or uncomfortable experiences.
