My goal as your therapist is to provide a safe, comfortable space to those in need of psychotherapy in a non-judgmental, professional, confidential atmosphere. I specialize in treating trauma, grief and loss, P.T.S.D., Major Depressive Disorder, Bipolar Disorder, anxiety disorders and issues pertaining to women and girls.
My graduate training was in Marriage and Family therapy with an emphasis on mental health counseling. My license and certification is in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. My specialized training is in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy as well as Critical Incident Stress Debriefing.
My approach is eclectic and individualized. I work from a humanistic, trauma informed framework while incorporating D.B.T. skills. Where appropriate I will utilize E.M.D.R. therapy as an adjunct to traditional talk therapy. I also incorporate mindfulness based practices, breath work and body awareness to add a holistic approach.
