The Mental Health Association in Ulster County, Inc. (MHA) has many services. Start here for all your mental health needs. Our Wellness Program offers socialization, suppler club, skill building, creative arts, mindfulness, and computer programming to those with a diagnosed mental illness. We have service Breakfast for $1 and Lunch $2 daily. FREE Support groups, skill building workshops, and self-help groups are available. Wellness Counselors are available for walk ins or calls to provide information and referrals internally or outside services. Assistance with applications, seeking providers, finding support and so much more!

MHA has a Health Homes care management program for children and adults (Direct and SPOA referrals). A Transitions program for those just beginning adult services. CORE psychosocial rehabilitation, peer support services, and family advocacy. Youth Respite and RAH (respite for adults with I/DD). Residential and ACT programs (SPOA referred).

We have a Compeer program, linking peers and volunteers together minimally 4 hours a month to building friendships. Our ACES program provides extra support to college students dealing with mental health that are eligible for ACCES-VR. We also offer HCBS Supported Education and Pre-Vocational services for those HARP eligible. Call us for more information.

Inclusive Group 4- 5:45pm; Men's Group 6- 7:45pm, FREE 10 Week Workshop on Thursdays. Classes Are Offered Throughout The Year - Learn Effective Coping and Calming Strategies - Explore Anger as an Emotion - Uncover The Causes of Your Feelings of Anger - Regain Control of Your Emotions. MHA's Anger Management Workshops are designed to help adults in the community enhance their coping skills, and to satisfy a variety of court mandates. It is NOT an appropriate group for cases of domestic violence or for very violent offenders. This workshop is FREE but you must call to pre-register.
