Life is difficult. Beginning the process of therapy can also be difficult, but when the process succeeds, an individual can rise above their difficulties through the collaborative work of a fellow journeyer. My ideal client is someone who has aspirations for themselves but is unsure how to satisfy or achieve them. I especially enjoy working with individuals on spiritual and existential issues to work out questions related to their understanding of the meaningfulness of life, connection with others, isolation, and freedom.

As a survivor of sexual or physical trauma, you often feel like you can’t have the peaceful and fulfilling life you want. It seems that you are alone, and that your loved ones and friends struggle to relate to your experience. It seems as if your past has infected every part of your life, and you can't help but feel trapped. You may often feel shame and embarrassment, and a fear of being vulnerable to others. You may even feel blamed and judged for things that happened far beyond your control. You deserve to feel empowered, and to take back the control over your life that feels out of reach.

I work with adults and adolescents with anxiety, men and women experiencing midlife reevaluations and a desire for authentic living, and couples. Additionally, I work with individuals with depression, grief, divorce, blended families, parenting, family and communication issues and many other family and life problems. I provide a comfortable, open-minded, non-judgmental environment for clients to tell their unique stories. I aim to help clients grow and make healthy changes in as few or as many sessions as it takes for them to reach their desired destination.

Niki Mullis is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Associate and a Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist Associate. A graduate of Queens University with a bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Health Services, Niki completed her graduate degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Pfeiffer University. She is a Prepare/Enrich facilitator and offers pre-marital counseling. Niki is also certified in Level 1 Dialectical Behavior Therapy.

My goal as a therapist is to help adults, adolescents, children and families to improve their quality of life and relationships with one another. I work with individuals to find healing and peace in times of crisis, confusion, and stress. Additional services that I offer are parental coaching and school advocating/consulting. I am available to attend 504, IEP, and intervention team meetings to help families through the often arduous intervention and accommodation process. My strength is creating a safe, positive, space for adults, teens, kids, and families to open up authentically and make the changes necessary for happiness.
