This typically involves things including- but not limited to - appropriate goal setting, coping skills, time management, social skill-building, emotional exploration, exploring core values, and addressing maladaptive behaviors. All of these techniques are applied at a pace set by both the client and counselor. I use cognitive behavioral therapy, interpersonal therapy, and gestalt therapy as the leading frameworks to help my clients.
