I enjoy working with a wide variety of clientele and believe that therapy is a joint experience that we will pursue together. I admire individuals that seek to overcome obstacles that impair their lives and are committed to empowering themselves to be the person they strive to become. I am also a Distinguished Professor of Psychology (National), National and International Psychological Conference Speaker, Noted National and International Keynote Speaker, and Associate Department Chair of the Marriage and Family Therapy program (Masters & Doctorate) at the Chicago School of Professional Psychology in both Los Angeles and Irvine, California Campuses.

Changing is hard. Especially when old ways of doing and being aren't working like they used to. You're likely here because you know a change needs to happen. As scary as change can be, so is staying the same. Finding the right support can be challenging. Whether it's changing a compulsive behavior, recovering from a relationship that ended, going off to college, getting married, or finding the pathway to greater self-awareness, I enjoy helping those in times of transition to find the tools they need to make it happen.

Welcome. The focus of my practice is about working with men of all ages. Many of my clients report their goals for treatment are support with addiction issues (alcohol/drugs, sex, pornography, internet) loss of identify, acting out, falling out with family members or intimate partners, lack of motivation, difficulty communicating, trauma and run-ins with the law. My approach is based on creating a genuine relationship between me and my clients that encourages honesty, respect, humor and transparency.

Life can be hard, and that doesn't mean you're weak, it means you're human. If your struggle is with identity, trauma, PTSD, depression, anxiety, relationship problems, managing emotions, addiction or other compulsivity, I want to help. I want to help you not just manage your life, but love your life. I specialize in working with the LGBTQ Community, with men, often entering therapy for the first time, addictions and coping with trauma. I can help you integrate the various parts of your life and develop a mindful a I work with adults, children and adolescents, couples and families seeking healing.

When working with my clients, I choose to use an approach that is respectful, non-blaming, and collaborative. We all have stories about our lives, relationships, desires, beliefs, and strugles. Often times the problem latches onto these stories and creates negative effects in the past, present, and future. By gaining some distance from the problem, we can begin to explore, create, heal and discover unique outcomes. I aim to empower my clients by positioning them as the expert in their own lives. I help couples improve communication and end old patterns of disappointment, criticism, and withdrawal. I meet with men and women and work though a variety of issues especially: anxiety, hopelessness, stress, grief and loss, addictions, and conflict.

Spouses- I'm happy to talk with your partner about couples therapy to make it less scary, help them feel heard, and help them get on board. Many people see therapy as one-sided, with little opportunity for interaction or getting to experience each other as real people. I can promise you that I am as real as it gets! I want to help you achieve the solutions and life changes you are looking for while enjoying the process as much as possible. Life can be painful. Therapy doesn't have to be. I understand how overwhelming it can be to pick a therapist. To be honest, most people just scan the pictures on this website to see who looks the most normal and the least like a therapist. I am a regular guy who has psych training, and I'm also an athlete and coach. I like to guide people into a life that they want, and yes it may involve some hard work, but it's worth it!

Just because we're "all in this together" doesn't mean we may have never felt more alone. Our normal outlets and usual support might be gone right now. We may also feel that we're weak if we're seeking help, or that we need to be strong for those around us, but we have to ask, who's supporting us?
