I truly believe everyone should have access to counseling no matter where you are. However, coming from a rural town in Alabama with limited resources, I have realized that many people suffer in silence due to fear of the stigma associated with traditional counseling or simply because there are not any counselors available within driving distance. For these reasons I am very passionate about offering flexible treatment options which include traditional sessions and virtual sessions. I counsel individuals, families, couples and groups.

Brandon Adair is a licensed professional counselor who earned his master’s in clinical psychology from Alabama A&M University in Normal, AL. He has over twenty years in the inpatient / counseling field with his key focuses being in the areas of marriage and family counseling, addiction, anxiety, depression, daily stressors, PTSD, developing coping strategies, and men’s issues. Brandon’s therapy approach includes cognitive behavioral therapy, person-centered, solution focused, motivational interviewing, and positive psychology. Brandon welcomes individual, couples, and families, including adolescents.

Susan W. Ratliff LPC Susan is a Licensed Professional Counselor. She earned a Bachelor’s Degree from Athens University in Behavioral Science, and a Masters Degree in Clinical Psychology from A&M University. Susan has been in practice in North Alabama for the past 25 years, with experience in both outpatient and inpatient settings. She has served a variety of populations, and has led individual, group, marital, and family therapy sessions. She currently works with children, adolescents and adults in therapy. Susan’s main passion in work is to improve individuals, and families lives by assisting in their development.

In my time both in education and in practice, Counseling has always been about doing what is best for the client in every aspect. Our job as professionals has been to help our clients become educated in their issues, learn how to identify the root of the problems, and learn to cope with these issues. I have had the luck not only to learn about counseling theories and techniques to equip me for any and all challenges. I can help with anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, substance use, and those suffering from more advance mental Illness such as schizotypical, bipolar etc.

Most of my clients come to me at a point in their life where they no longer recognize themselves or their relationships. They've put much on the back-burner for so long that they loose their identity. They wake up to a life with little passion, little desire, and very little will. This issue is typically their subconscious letting them know that how they've been living is no longer conducive on their journey of growth and success. Although I work well with clients across the broad spectrum of needs, I prefer working with couples who are experiencing marital, relationship and family difficulties. I also work with clients experiencing domestic violence, grief and PTSD. I come armed with 34 years of experience that allows me to help clients work on the ongoing development of the self including their internal strength; becoming less dependent on others for validation. I also work with an acute focus on intercultural difficulties.

Derrick is a licensed therapist with over 20 years of experience providing services to adolescents and adults. He believes that everyone has potential to recover and heal from whatever they've been through as long as they're willing to put in the work and trust in God. He wholeheartedly believes that there is nothing you've been through that you cannot overcome. By using a myriad of psychological strategies and concepts Derrick has helped many people recover, heal, and thrive. In addition to providing therapy, he has taught psychological courses and facilitated couples and men's conferences.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with extensive experience in helping people manage and/or overcome mood disorders, substance abuse, chronic illness, and spiritual concerns. Assisting people in identifying the root of and finding solutions for their problems in order to allow them to live their lives to the fullest is my passion. I offer a warm and accepting environment in which I guide others in discovering solutions to their varying issues.

We are an Alabama group practice with LMFTs, LPCs, and interns. We exclusively see clients using secure Telehealth therapy for your convenience, and do not have a physical location. Licensed therapists (Cindy, Sam, and Alicia) take BCBS of Alabama insurance. Interns see clients at a $25 rate per session. Cindy is a certified Sex Therapist, and Alicia is licensed to supervise MFT-I's, MFT-As and MFT-Is. Alicia is an EMDRIA approved EMDR trained therapist.
