About
I hold an MA degree in Counseling from Ottawa University and an MA in education from Arizona State University. In addition, I hold an advanced Graduate Specialization in Marriage and Family therapy. I am an LPC, and a Registered Play Therapist-Supervisor. I am trauma informed and practice from an attachment-base model. I use strength-based assessments to develop an individualized treatment plan for each client that is based upon the identified needs.
I specialize in working with children who are adopted or in foster care along with their families. I have advanced training in attachment issues. I also works with anxiety, depression, childhood trauma, grief/loss, and parenting issues. I use play therapy, art therapy, and sand tray in my work.
I have a play therapy room as well as a group room. I provide clinical supervision for interns, associate level counselors, and for those clinicians who desire to become registered play therapists. I am a member of the Association of Play Therapy and The Association of Christian Counselors.

Mending Hearts Family Services's Groups
Trauma Recovery; Mending The Soul; Children's
Children's social skills group provides a venue where children can gain coping skills, anger management, relationship building skills. Children's group that focuses on divorce recovery that is developmentally appropriate. Mending the Soul is a faith based trauma processing group that is professionally led. Trauma Recovery Group is a 10 to 12 week group that utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, mindfulness, art therapy and psych-education.
