Our passion is supporting parents! Are your child's tantrums out of control? Do they melt down in stores, at bedtime, or at mealtimes? Do they refuse to follow directions, scream, kick, hit, curse, bite, or throw things when they can't have their way? Are you ready for your child to happily listen the first time and for strangers to notice your child's calm and sweet behavior? If so, Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) may be the solution. In as little as 14 weeks, PCIT can transform your child's behaviors & bring peace & joy back to your everyday interactions with your child. Foster/adoptive families can especially benefit.

Mending Hearts Family Counseling Center is a non-profit with a specific mission of supporting parents of children ages 1-10 with behavioral challenges. Our Parent Support Workshops (see below) are fun, interactive, and taught in an atmosphere of mutual support of other parents who understand the ups and downs of parenting strong willed children.

While we have a special heart for adoptive and foster families, our FREE Parent Support Workshops are also tailored to address ODD, ADHD, anxiety, trauma, grief, and mild ASD or ID. The workshops are also ideal for children who just have strong willed personalities that, while beneficial later in life, can be taxing on parents when children are young.
