People often begin therapy because they are in emotional pain or a crisis and need relief from their suffering. While difficult it is often the catalyst that opens the door to creative life force and new possibilities in living in the world. Psychotherapy is a deeply personal, individualized, alchemical process. I serve clients in the areas of trauma, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), relationship issues, anxiety, addictions and self-development. I assist clients in not only getting relief from their suffering but also enhancing their personal and spiritual lives and having healthier relationships with themselves and others.
I draw from somatic & attachment therapy, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy & EMDR. Couples therapy is based in Emotionally Focused Therapy for Couples (EFT) & Psychobiological Approach to Couples Therapy (PACT). I also use Expressive Arts Therapy as another language/tool accessing deeper unconscious material as a means towards resolving current life issues.
I am a Certified Addiction Treatment Counselor (CATC) working with addictions since 1998. Addictions are often symptoms of deeper issues. Through various interventions, including EMDR, Attachment focused work, Somatic, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and Expressive Arts Therapy, I assist clients with exploring those deeper issues towards living life addiction-free.
