My background includes working in both inpatient and outpatient settings . I am a theory based practitioner with an eclectic approach including cognitive behavioral therapy. behavioral activation, and mindfulness based cognitive behavioral therapy. I believe that therapy is self centered and should be adapted to the patients wants and needs. I use motivational interviewing and problem solution focused approach to influence change in a clients behavior.
I have experience working with patients who have difficult time adjusting to medical ailments such as chron's disease, IBS, and other medical conditions. I have strong understanding of the mind-body connection.
