Our work will be a collaborative effort to understand you — why you think, feel, believe, and behave the way you do — and to help you grow personally, professionally, and relationally. I believe that the mental health symptoms we experience are a manifestation of unresolved conflicts from our past. Coping strategies, self-help books, or other exercises can result in quick relief, but if you find yourself stuck with the same, or different, symptoms, you may need more. I largely work from a “bottom-up” approach, working to address the symptoms at the root and create self-awareness, curiosity, insight, and long-lasting change.
I provide psychotherapy to people experiencing disordered eating/eating disorders; relationship/sexuality/LGBTQ+ issues; anxiety; depression; family conflicts; work/life stress; and relational trauma. I primarily work from a relational and intersubjective psychodynamic lens, and am in training at a psychoanalytic institute. I'm licensed in NY, NJ, and FL.
I approach therapy from a standpoint of non-judgmental curiosity and an antiracist, anti-oppression lens. You are the expert in your own life, and I am committed to walking the path toward happiness and understanding with you. Let's make some progress together :)
