I believe in working with children, teens, and adults through a combination of guidance and direction. Therapy can involve relieving stress in family relationships and improvement in overall quality of life for those in treatment. A lot of time and energy are spent with all other aspects in life, why wouldn't we invest growth and enrichment with our loved ones?
I am particularly interested in life transitions including, but not limited to perinatal, postpartum, parenting, elderly/aging, premarital, and grief and loss concerns. I also have extensive experience with behavior, mood, or educationally related concerns in children and adolescents.
I typically work using a blend modern and postmodern theories, meaning I work with exploration of society and culture, as well as our own personal narratives and experiences.
