I’m Melissa Miranda (She/her), a queer cisgender woman and proud 3rd-generation Hispanic (pero no hablo mucho español). Born in Miami, FL, I bring a rich cultural perspective to my work as a therapist. My passion for therapy stems from a deep desire to create positive change in the lives of individuals and couples. I’m dedicated to providing a safe space where people can learn what healthy communication looks like, especially in a world where it’s not always taught. My hope is to help increase emotional expression and understanding of ourselves and others because every human deserves to have a voice, to be seen, and to feel heard.
I utilize a holistic and integrative approach, pulling from CBT, Systems, and Narrative theories, as well as some mindfulness and somatic techniques. Recognizing that no healing journey is alike, I focus on understanding each client’s unique story—exploring their highs and lows, and uncovering the context that may be contributing to their challenges.
You are the expert on yourself and on your relationships. My role is to support and guide you in discovering the insights and tools that will facilitate your path to healing.
"When you listen attentively to others, even if it's stories that are not yours, you recognize yourself because there's always universal themes-human themes". - Esther Perel

The Connection Series: Men & Dating
This is a workshop series for men that will teach relationship skills, debunk dating myths, and help build community with other men. Whether single, in a relationship, or somewhere in between, this group is open to all adult men from different walks of life. The goal is to learn skills, share experiences and wisdom with each other, as well as have fun and build connections. The key is to date smarter, not harder! This will be a 4-part series taking place on Friday nights (3/6, 3/13, 3/20, 3/27) from 6-9pm. $35 per session.
