New parenthood can leave you feeling stuck in survival mode. You may find yourself struggling with birth trauma, postpartum anxiety, postpartum depression, or just struggling with adjusting to the ways your life has changed. Maybe you can't get off the hamster wheel of no sleep, poor self-care, frustration, irritability, flashbacks, exhaustion and raw emotions. This can put strain on your relationships with others, your baby and yourself. Or perhaps you do not even recognize the person you are becoming. And it can be hard to ask for help while also learning how to care for a little one (or two).
Sessions with me feel casual and supportive - with a little bit of humor when needed. I feel passionately about supporting the perinatal population, especially those who experienced trauma. I place an emphasis on self-care, emotional regulation, building support systems, and education about trauma and mental health in this unique chapter of life.
Curious to learn more? Take a moment to peruse my website and see if we are a good fit. It takes courage to recognize a need for support and to reach out for help. Starting in Spring 2025 I will be in network with most WNC Medicaid Plans. Reach out to see if I am in your network and to get on my waiting list. I look forward to hearing from you!
