I have been a Master's Level Licensed Social Worker since 1997. I work with kids as young as 7 and adults up to age 65. I have worked with kids and adults with depression and suicidality, anxiety, grief, trauma, family conflict, and anger control issues. I like discovering people's strengths and using those strengths to build coping skills. I also have also had 10 years of training to work with parents and children age 0-5.
I have worked most of my career in a Community Mental Health agency. I have worked with children and families dealing with a variety of issues. I enjoyed helping them get past their issues to gain hope, strength, and a more positive outlook on life. Now I use that experience in a private practice.
I work from an integrative perspective. I work with primary care physicians, alternative specialists (acupuncture, yoga, etc.) that allow people to feel in tune with themselves. My Infant Mental Health training allows me to work with parents of young children, 0-5, to build strong bonds and work through issues of trauma and loss.
