True healing (vs. coping) requires more than talk therapy. State of the art therapy now requires combining insight-oriented talk therapy with somatic healing methods. As a therapist specializing in Women's Issues for over 20 years, I am committed to all Women's emotional, psychological and spiritual healing. Binge Eating Disorder and Emotional Eating, LGBTQ Issues, Coming Out Later in Life, Family of Origin Issues, Trauma Resolution, Anxiety, Depression and Stress. I facilitate two groups 1) Coming Out Later in Life Support Group for Women 2) EFT Tapping Group for Everyone. Please contact me at melissa@melissalesterolson.com.
My approach to therapy combines insight-oriented talk therapy with body-focused/somatic treatment methods. It is possible to heal - once and for all - from adverse childhood events, false/distorted beliefs, and trauma. My work includes several specific trauma resolution methods so that we can collaborate in whatever ways feel most right to you.
I will always offer you a peaceful, safe and non-judgmental space. We will honor your pace, your path and your needs. Best of all, the tools we use together are tools you can also use on your own as you continue moving forward. Doing your work in therapy can change the entire course and quality of the rest of your life.

Melissa Lester Olson, LCSW's Groups

Coming Out Later in Life Group - FREE

It's not unusual for women's sexuality to shift. It's also not unusual for women to delay Coming Out as Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Queer, or Questioning due to social and family pressures. Come explore what these issues mean for you without any pressure to "label" or "define" yourself. These shifts raise complex questions for all women. How do you talk about this? Who do you talk to? What does it mean? How will this change your life? An Initial Consultation, with fee, is required. For more information about this group and meeting dates, please see melissalesterolson.com.
