About

True healing (vs. simply coping) requires more than talk therapy. Best practice combines insight-oriented talk therapy with body-focused healing methods. I specialize in Women's Issues (25+ yrs) and am committed to Women's emotional, psychological and spiritual health. Areas of specialization include Emotional Eating, LGBTQ Issues, Coming Out Later in Life, Family of Origin Issues, Trauma Resolution, Anxiety, Depression, Stress and Relationship and Work challenges. I facilitate a long-running Women's Coming Out Later in Life Group most 2nd and 4th Saturdays, 3:30-5:00pm. MelissaLesterLCSW.com for more details.
Usng insight-oriented therapy combined with body-focused/somatic trauma resolution methods we will work to resolve - once and for all - what keeps you stuck. My work includes several trauma resolution methods so that we can collaborate in ways that feel most right to you. Our goal is always to get you as much relief as possible, as quickly as possible.
I will always offer you a peaceful, safe and non-judgmental space. We will honor your pace, your path and your preferences. Best of all, the tools we will use together are tools you can also use on your own to support your own healing and growth. Doing your work in therapy can change the course and quality of the rest of your life. It's always worth it.

Coming Out Later in Life Support Group - ONLINE

It's not unusual for women's sexuality to shift. It's also not unusual for women to delay Coming Out as Lesbian, Gay, Bi, Queer, Pan, Curious, Questioning or 'No Labels Please!' due to social, religious and family pressures. This is a safe, intimate space (now online) to get comfortable in your own skin and begin to explore the meaning of these issues for you. Information on how to participate is at melissalesterlcsw.com. OPEN TO GA and FL RESIDENTS ONLY.
