I believe that life's challenges can be opportunities for growth, though it's difficult to have this perspective when you are in the midst of a struggle. Whether it's a painful relationship issue, a stressful life transition, unresolved emotional trauma, or an overwhelming addiction, I can guide you through this process of change with expertise and compassion. My goal is to help you appreciate and develop more fully your unique qualities and strengths, empowering you to utilize tools that will improve your life. At New Leaf we offer counseling for individuals, couples, and families.
My specialty includes working with young adults navigating life transitions, and helping couples improve overall intimacy. I'm trained in Emotionally Focused Therapy which research indicates- 90% of couples report significant improvement in their relationship. During my 14 years in mental health, I've seen many overcome challenges through therapy.
I know how hard it can be to take the first step! Congratulations on making the decision to invest in yourself. I work with clients of all faiths and also understand the unique cultural nuances of the LDS community. I do regular presentations for women's groups on "Finding Balance", and "Strengthening Relationships." Email for information!
