I am a licensed clinical social worker with over 35 years of experience helping individuals, couples, and families with adjustment, marriage and family, and mental health issues. I enjoy helping couples make adjustments to marriage, stages of parenting, empty nest, retirement, chronic illnesses, and hospice care. As a Cognitive-Behavioral therapist, I teach patients a variety of coping skills where they learn how to change their thoughts and behaviors in order to change their mood (i.e. depressed, anxious, frustrated, or angry).
I am specifically trained in trauma (Prolonged Exposure and Cognitive Processing therapies) and enjoy working with veterans, first responders, missionaries, adult survivors of child abuse, domestic violence couples, and victims of crime. I am happy to collaborate with patient's medical doctors regarding patient's symptoms for psychotropic medication trial.
