About
I have been treating women for over 25 years who are experiencing feelings of depression and/or anxiety that sometimes coincide with lifestyle transitions, such as pregnancy, new motherhood, postpartum depression, miscarriage, infertility, menopause, relationship issues, divorce, PMS or returning to the work force. I work as a partnership in helping each woman to resolve issues in her life, in a safe and nonjudgmental environment. I feel that it's very important that your voice be heard. I can help you to find the relief that you deserve. I can help you feel like your "old self" again.
After 30 years of working with infants, adults, adolescents and children, individuals, couples, groups and families, I have come to realize that my approach to each patient is very individualized. I use my training in Psychodynamic, Cognitive- Behavioral, Systems and Interpersonal Psychotherapies, to help each patient feel better about herself and feel more empowered.
Currently, I work with women individually, with their partner, and in groups. I also see mothers with their infants. The sooner you come in for help, the sooner you will begin to feel better. You deserve it.

Melissa Hubsher's Groups
Transition to New Motherhood
Group therapy offers a wonderful support for women. Infants, of course, are always welcome. Issues discussed vary from group to group, but may include relationship issues, societal and family expectations, events and activities in the community, developing support networks and infant and child development. Please call first for a consultation. Time of group may be changed.
Postpartum Support Group
I will be starting a group for Postpartum moms who are experiencing depression or anxiety or overall adjustment issues and who want some support from other moms. This group will be facilitated by me, a Clinical Psychologist. Infants up to 1 year are always welcome. Please call me at: 215-579-5641 if you are interested in joining this group.
