About
My primary focus is creating a therapeutic relationship to facilitate change and healing in order to assist you in creating or rediscovering a sense of meaning and purpose in your life and relationships. I specialize in working with adults and families who have experienced the impacts of trauma and chemical dependency to assist in challenging old patterns of managing emotional distress and developing positive beliefs about the world and ourselves. My background in working with individuals who have experienced trauma has led me to pursue training in EMDR and to integrate this practice into therapy.
I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from the University of Minnesota Duluth and my Master’s Degree from Argosy University Twin Cities. I am licensed as a professional clinical counselor (LPCC) and licensed alcohol and drug counselor (LADC) in the state of Minnesota.
Beginning the process of therapy can feel like a giant leap into vulnerability and making change in our lives can be challenging and I would be honored to assist you in the process of creating additional emotional awareness, understanding, and meaning in your life.
