About
I became a psychotherapist because I believe in the healing and transformation that can only happen in healthy relationships. Many of my clients struggle in relationships with themselves, family, partners, events from their past, or with certain behaviors. I find that often, at the core of these struggles is the basic need to be understood & accepted. My approach to therapy is collaborative and you-centered; I strive to create a space that invites exploration & curiosity, rather than criticism & shame. With therapy, you'll begin to see yourself & others with less negative, isolating emotions, in a more balanced & compassionate light
My style is warm and inviting; you'll probably find yourself at ease talking with me. Many of my clients also tell me that they appreciate the thought-provoking questions that I ask them, as it helps them to consider different angles of their concerns, helping them to sharpen the lens of their own perspective and values.
I provide compassionate and respectful psychotherapy services to adults of every age, specializing in treating BIPOC young adults, college and graduate students who are navigating major life changes. I also offer the following group therapies: Healing From Family Challenges and Creating Healthy Relationships. Contact me for more info.
